CAMBA is a non-profit organization that was founded in Brooklyn, NY, in 1977. The organization originally started in Flatbush, where the organization met the neighborhood needs such as improving trash collection, reducing crime, and up-keeping the community. Today, CAMBA provides health care, youth development, family support, legal services, and housing services. CAMBA’s latest mission, “2020 vision, building an inclusive New York”, is a 4 year campaign that’s aimed to ensure that all New Yorkers have the resources that they need such as: enhancing academic success, protecting homelessness, and preserving or building affordable homes by 2020.
