Sr. Telecommunications Engineer

Provide
engineering expertise concerning state-of-the-art design,
design review, transition, integration, and implementation
of voice and voice switching network communications systems
acquired in conjunction with FAA’s National Airspace System
modernization efforts. Specifically, will support the FAA
Great Lakes Region (AGL), Central Service Area,
Telecommunications Services Manager (TSM) in all aspects of
the transition and implementation of the FAA

travel (approx., 25%) may be required to support the FTI
Program implementation goals and objectives.

Airspace System (NAS) implementation programs and projects.
The planning expertise required will affect the design,

support FAA's Investment Analysis process on major FAA
programs. Candidate must be skilled in MS Project (or
similar tool) and possess experience in schedule development

Classifies, monitors and summarizes financial and accounting

System Safety Engineer/Systems

qualified system safety engineers to support the
Federal Aviation Administration in modernization
of the National Airspace System and in
implementing a
Safety Management System that meets International
Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) requirements
under Procedures for Air Navigation Systems
(PANS4444). The work involves conduct of
system safety engineering analyses, such as
Preliminary Hazard Analysis, System Hazard
Analysis, and Operation and Support Hazard
analysis. Applicants must meet the
qualifications for the following positions.
Senior System Safety
Engineer- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, math,
physics, or equivalent. A minimum of ten years
experience within the system safety engineering
career field is required, with at least 2 years
as a project manager or team lead on an aviation
or aerospace safety analysis project. Mid-level System Safety
Engineer – Bachelor’s degree in engineering, math
or physics or a vocational or technical school
certificate indicating that post-secondary school
education and training in the safety engineering
career field has been completed. A minimum of 5
years experience within the safety engineering
career field. Entry-level Safety Engineer –Bachelor’s Degree,
Associates Degree as a System Safety Engineer. or
a vocational or technical school certificate
indicating that post-secondary school education
and training in the safety engineering career
field has been completed. No experience within
the safety engineering career field required.
