Adsystech Selected by US Department of Transportation for E-Commerce, ERP, Financial & Transition/Migration/Remediation Services
Silver Spring, MD, August, 2000 — The U.S. Department of Transportation's (DOT) Transportation Administrative
Services Center (TASC) has awarded four contracts to Adsystech to provide its expert services in these areas: e-Commerce;
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP); Government Financial Services (GFS); and Transition, Migration and Remediation (TMR), under
its new multi-contractor $950 million Value Added Niche Information Technology Services (VANITS) program. The duration for each
of these four task order-based contracts is 7 years and each is available to all U.S. Federal, State, regional and local
government organizations.
The e-Commerce contract calls for Adsystech to provide a full range of services, including solutions for
Government-to-Citizens (G2C), Government-to-Government (G2G) and Government-to-Business (G2B), integration of legacy systems
with newer systems, and secured e-Commerce transaction processing. Under the ERP contract, Adsystech will provide
evaluation, planning, development, delivery and integration of ERP solutions, including business process and technology
assessments, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) support, and integration with e-Commerce business processes, capabilities
and systems.
Adsystech will provide support to activities concerning the development and modification of Government financial
systems and sub-systems under the GFS contract, including their planning, design, implementation, migration, upgrade,
maintenance and management. Typical services and support include audits, verifications and validations, and conducting
compliance reviews and assessments in accordance with established law (e.g., the Government Performance & Results Act). The
TMR contract calls Adsystech to provide a full range of infrastructure and support for moving systems and applications
between and within architectures and environments, including physical and logical relocation services, transition and migration
support for applications, networks, communications and other infrastructure, and remediation/conversion/renovation services and
support for systems and applications.
Adsystech is a privately-held systems integration company specializing in the full lifecycle of information
systems. With capabilities that cover all facets of IT and Enterprise Resource Services, Adsystech has highly qualified staff
across nine U.S. locations and technical resources to meet the constantly changing challenges of business and government. Since
1990, it has provided information solutions that enhance productivity, reduce costs, and meet the specific needs of clients
ranging from small businesses to large government agencies.
The Transportation Administrative Service Center (TASC) provides a wide range of technical and administrative
services to the U.S. Department of Transportation's operating administrations (e.g., FAA, Coast Guard and Federal Highway,
Railway and Transit Administrations) and other customers. TASC offers an alternative source of service that allows its customers
to focus on their own core missions. |
