Adsystech’s Adaptive Enterprise Solutions© enginuity© (AESenginuity©) Microsoft-centric platform enables organizations to obtain a complete or partial enterprise solution FASTER, BETTER and CHEAPER than with current commercial-of-the-shelf (COTS) products or by using custom development methods. The AESenginuity© platform was architected with flexibility as a primary objective. The ability for system administrators (not programmers) to use their current skill sets to perform application enhancements usually performed by a programmer was the goal of this new platform. The AESenginuity© platform, like most web-based applications, was designed using a three-tier architecture. Unlike other web-based applications, the AESenginuity© technology provides a richer approach to delivering flexible solutions to its customers. It can securely tie geographically dispersed organizational components via the Internet into an Intranet-based application, while providing centralized control and management of all processes. The AESenginuity© platform also allows true RAD/JAD engagements in which application prototypes or pilot implementations are not throw-away proofs-of-concept, but rather are an incremental initial operating capabilities (IOCs). These IOCs are fully operational subsystems that can be evolved to full system functionality by simply adding functionality incrementally. Adsystech’s AESenginuity© platform is next-generation technology that reduces the amount of source code by orders of magnitude. 99+% of application functionality is represented in an ODBC data model and the remaining, relatively trivial portion of the application is developed in VB.NET. This data model captures and mirrors business processes without generating source code. Thus, the only skills required to implement and maintain an application are in VB.NET, a couple of easily learned utilities (AEStools©) and the ODBC DBMS. AESenginuity© lowers the total cost of ownership (TCO) by decreasing the number of developers needed to develop new applications and to enhance existing applications; reducing the maintenance support effort; reducing the need for highly skilled IT technical staff; reducing or eliminating the need for re-training; reducing the skill requirements for user/operations personnel; and increasing the productivity of the operations/user staffs.
