Tom Doyle, Adsystech’s Senior Site Coordinator at NASA-Langley Research Center, is again an award winner, this time for his work in support of flight research testing of Synthetic Vision Systems (SVS) at Dallas-Ft. Worth International Airport.Tom previously was cited for outstanding contributions to the development of another aviation-related technology, called Aircraft VOrtex Spacing System (AVOSS).

Doyle participated in the SVS trials as a member of NASA’s flight research team, which used the agency’s Boeing 757 ARIES aircraft equipped with experimental cockpit displays and computer systems to test three unique technologies in flights at Dallas-Ft. Worth Airport. The team’s goal was to develop revolutionary electronic Visual Meteorological Conditions (e-VMC) cockpit display systems designed to significantly improve aviation safety by reducing the potential for pilot error during low visibility conditions. Tom and other members of the team were commended for their dedication and expertise and for their successful attainment of numerous milestones, which were delivered on schedule and within budget.

NASA also recently cited Tom’s contribution by NASA for “an exceptional job on ASERP (Aviation Security Enhancement Research Proposal) which culminated in the extremely successful ARIES flight.”

We join NASA in thanking Tom for “a job well done”.
