October 16th is National Boss Day! According to Hallmark, this holiday began some time in the 1958 in Illinois when Patricia Haroski, an employee of State Farm Insurance, registered the holiday to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. She chose the date October 16th because it was her father’s birthday. A few years later the holiday was recognized and people began to celebrate it nationwide.
