Yesterday, The American Hospital Association launched its Center for Health Innovation as an effort to support hospitals and health systems as they face the ever changing trends with technology. The Center for Health Innovation will focus on new data based market intelligence to stay up to date, cyber security access to proactively assess risks and investigate vulnerabilities as well as protect important information. It will also target issues such as innovation capacity, affordability and value, emerging insights, population health, performance improvement, new payment and delivery modes (2). A program provided by the Center for Innovation is the Innovation 90 Boot Camp, a 90 day leadership workshop that helps healthcare professionals learn the latest framework used in a variety of industries such as technology and manufacturing (1).
