We all have heard of children build lemonade stands to make a few bucks, but how about lemonade stands as a philanthropic platform? Lulu Cerone, like any normal 10 year old child, started her first lemonade stand. This lemonade stand was a competition among her fifth grade classmates to see who could fundraise the most money. Lulu raised $4000 in just two weeks ! Incredible! This led her to team up with Mattel and Forever21 to create her philanthropic organization LemonAid Warriors, which has raised over $100,000 and affected more than 4.2 million people! Today, Lulu is 18 years old, and is working towards integrating activism with her philanthropic efforts. She has written a book PhilanthroParties: A Guide for Kids Who Want to Give Back to inspire other young individuals to become philanthropists. Read more about her story at LemonAid Warriors
